Google Glass Explorer Edition with Two Attachments Unboxed
Is Privacy a New Myth?
Everyone is looking forward to the Glass invasion, the day privacy becomes just another “P” word that becomes a forbidden subject! The Jetson prochecies will be fullfilled and the extremist religious wack jobs will be confirming the Mark of the Beast has finally arrived! The day of William Gibson’s self realization and now we can all look Back to the Future.
The Soundtrack
The new technology reminds me of BURN$Z and the song “Future” from the Digital Conspiracy album. Of course that is my favorite album because it is so far ahead of it’s time most hip hop fans will classify it as a classic once all the smoke from the mainstream death smog of Hip Hop clears.
The Tortoise of Innovation
I believe we are seeing a mammoth leap in innovation from Google and the wizards over there that are pushing to redefine what it means to innovate. With Apple recycling the iPhone and downsizing the iPad one must begin to believe that perhaps maybe they are losing the “we are smarter” race. I believe the Apple faithful are a bit disturbed at the tortoise pace Apple is taking to unveil “their new one of a kind something”.
Man In the Middle
With the tech sector focusing on bleeding edge concepts and manifestations the world is swept into a sub-focus of this race and keeping up with it becomes either a passion or a hatred. I am in the middle, a loyalist to the balance of practicality and invention but not a fan of the unnecessary. I am firm in my belief that Google Glass is a step in a new territory feeding the technological spirit of new age geeks and voyeur purist. I would never think that going beyond the third eye would involve a special apparatus.
