Ninja Blender Unboxing Overview

Ninja Blender Unboxing Overview. Clair Buchanan declares the Ninja 1100 Professional Blender as the Editor’s Pick. Read the story on how he made his decision and why the Ninja 1100 is his top pick.

It was on a cool April day in 2013 when I turned to my wife and told her I wanted to help the world find the best smoothie and shake recipes.  I threw on a t-shirt and hoodie and I ran to Walgreens and picked up one of those pre-paid debit cards.  I needed plastic to buy a website and get the ball rolling with all 2014 01 09 09.18.27 224x300 these ideas floating in my head.  Now at first my wife was skeptical and she really didn’t realize the scope of my imagination.  You see until that point I was into technical fields like music production and marketing, so she never saw this coming.  She wanted to know just who would visit the site and why? I told her “People that love smoothies and shakes”.   The obstacles I faced was how to find a way to choose and handpick the right videos from the talented and informative smoothie community and present them to you with all the background information of the recipes.

This effort was far away from creating  instrumentals and teaching people how to share their passions. However, there is some facets of my other industries that helped me. Take music for example when I create music for a soundtrack I usually start with great sounds to begin with, sounds that move my soul. I rarely take flat and horrible sounds to create my tracks. The same passion was applied to my new How to make shakes project, I started with the best group of people on the planet Earth, smoothie lovers. As a smoothie lover you have to be patient, creative and caring for the wholesome ingredients that go into your smoothie, it is sort of like music production. The kale, the different types of greens, the sweeteners, the frozen berries, fruit, herbs and the myriad of ingredients create a composition as beautiful as music. However, just like music I realized I had to have the best equipment to create the most balanced symphony (smoothie or shake) possible.

This is when I went on my equipment hunt, now usually I would look for a customized computer for digital music production and an excellent D.A.W (Digital Audio Workstation) with a great pair of monitors and over the ear headphones (The KRK KNS 8400’s Sweeeet!) to build a studio. But with the smoothie world the main instrument is a blender. The blender is the holy grail of making smoothies and shakes and it is paramount to making liquid happiness. The blender is the heartbeat of the smoothie organism and I knew this to be true. The problem was finding the sweet spot between a personal blender, a large blender and a food processor because of the infinite combination of foods that can be used in the kitchen.

I had a challenge ahead of me and I wanted to transfer this research and knowledge over to you so that you could have a choice to get an economic, multi-functional and powerful blender system that can rival overpriced competitors. On July 9th, 2013 I published a post entitled NutriBullet vs. Vitamix Side By Side Comparison and Blender Review and it is a very popular post and everyone has their own opinion about what is the better blender. It is to be noted in the post I declared all the comparisons and claims to be frivolous going so far as to call it all B.S. I felt that unless people are putting steel wool into their blenders all of these commercial blenders should do the job just fine.

However, what I missed was the most important word and that is “functionality”. I realized that a blender today with all the advancements of technology should have more than one purpose and that is sort of reminiscent of my music equipment because it should be able to go outside the box. And that brings me to my choice of declaring the Ninja 1100 Professional as the most economical, powerful and versatile blender in the world. I chose the Ninja blender because of its ability to shape-shift into a full sized blender, a personal cup system and a food processor. The ultra-powerful six-blade technology trumps any blender in the world and lives up to its performance claims. This is the reason for my choice.

On a recent visit to my friend’s house in Florida I used the Ninja for the first time and it blew me away. The consistency of my smoothies were exceptional and stood out as a clear winner. My friend has two and three of everything and their Vitamix was in the kitchen so we did a side by side comparison and there was a clear difference in textures and the handling of ingredients by the Ninja’s powerful six-blade system. The drawback with the Vitamix was that my friend needed to use the tamper to push the ingredients toward the blade. He probably didn’t know it was called a tamper because he was calling it “the thing” the whole time, (hence why I didn’t know its name in the video).

The Ninja’s personal cup blender component obliterates the reason to have the Nutribullet.  With the Nutribullet your’e stuck with just that size and that’s it. It was really funny that he put all of his faith in his Vitamix while his wife swore by the Ninja. You learn to listen to your wife when you hit the wisdom years, I guess I’m ahead of my time. Eventhough she is not my wife I learned that my wife is right about a lot of things maybe 90% of the time and if I am striving to be wise, the other 10% I sweep under the rug. icon smile
